Bring a water bottle, your ticket (printed or on your smartphone), and an ID. Large backpacks and bulky bags are not allowed on the route but can be left at the free cloakroom.
Closed, comfortable shoes are mandatory — sandals, heels, and flip-flops are prohibited due to uneven ground and stairs. Wear comfortable, not too baggy clothes to pass easily through the narrower sections.
The underground temperature is constant year-round, around 16°C. Even in summer, we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket. Humidity is high, so it may feel cooler than expected.
The standard route is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for those with reduced mobility. It includes 121 steps and narrow passages. It is not recommended for those with severe claustrophobia.
At the entrance you will find: free cloakroom, ticket office, bookshop with guides and souvenirs, restrooms. Nearby you'll find bars and restaurants for a break before or after the visit.
